The International Association for Analytical Psychology was founded in 1955 by a group of psychoanalysts to sustain and promote the work of C. G. Jung.

Hayao Kawai was certified as Japan’s first Jungian Analyst in 1965, and he was one of the founding members of AJAJ (Association of Jungian Analists, Japan).
